The WWE Videographer Experience

The WWE has made their website that much more fan friendly with the creation of a new video editing program called "smash ups". It gives the fans an opportunity to create any kind of wwe video they would like using video clips, photos, entrance themes, and music.

Below is the link to my first video. It is a take on the upcoming Triple H vs. Randy Orton feud for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania. Enjoy! The video will play after an advertisement.

Its Getting Close to April 5

With Wrestlemania 25 vast approaching, everyone is speculating the card and how effective it might be compared to other manias. Below are my predicted matches and the effectiveness of the feud. Remember, these are just speculative and could be wrong.

Triple H (wwe champion) vs. Randy Orton
With last night's Raw ending the way it did, it seems like we found the answers to two very important questions...Which champion will switch brands and who will Randy Orton get his title shot against? Well, when Triple H made his way down that ramp to try and help Stephanie (his wife, which I also believe will be revealed as a major role in the storyline) and clearly showed his anger towards Orton for punting her in the head, we found out that these two will feud.

Thoughts: I think it will be interesting to see how the wwe handles the husband and wife situation with Hunter and Steph. All true wrestling fans know they are married outside the show, but it hasn't been addressed since 2002 after the McMahon-Helmsley regime which ended in an on-air divorce. Randy Orton is clearly the number one heal in the biz right now which allows his feud with one of the biggest faces in the game (no pun intended) to be credible. I think the match itself will be very methodical and slow-paced but will also tell a story. Don't be suprised if Orton walks out of mania with the title either.

Shawn Michaels vs. Untertaker (16-0 streak on the line)
Even though there is a match on raw next week between Michaels and JBL for the right to face the Undertaker at mania, the wwe wants to make the match as credible as possible meaning they want people to actually believe the undertaker will lose. Therefore, Michaels is clearly the candidate that will be able to accomplish this.

Thoughts: I think this match will show just how good of workers HBK and taker really are. Sure they are both over 40, but they can both still bring it and will bring it for this match. Sorry to all the Michaels fans out there, but taker will win cleanly to maintain his perfect mania record.

Edge (world heavyweight champ.) vs. John Cena vs. Batista
As much as I don't want to see this match happen, it very well could. I'm not sure if Batista will be ready for mania but if he is, I think this will be the matchup. This past monday on Raw we saw a very heated battle of words between cena and edge possibly setting up this feud. Batista fits nicely into the situation because he has beef with both guys. It also gives edge yet another golden opportunity to weasel his way out of mania with the title.

Thoughts: I truly think Edge is the best worker in the business today, flat out. This match could lag because of the fact that he's working with two of the most criticized wrestlers in the wwe. I think Edge will win after one of the other two hits a finisher on the other or something like that.

Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy
This match is obvious because of what happened at the rumble. Although most thought Christian would be involved in this angle, he isn't and I think it's for the best at the moment. These two have only faced off once and it was for the hardcore title back in 2001 when they were both faces and neither were in the spotlight. This time will be different and I truly believe that this match will steal the show.

Thoughts: There is no way and I mean NO WAY that the wwe will put Matt over in this match. Jeff will win clean after a very hard-fought match which will prove just how good these two really are in the ring.

Money in the bank ladder match (evan bourne vs. kofi kingston vs. rey mysterio vs. the brian kendrick vs. shelton benjamin vs. mvp)
While I am def. not sure of the participants, there will definitely be a money in the bank ladder match. It is always exciting and full of high-flying fun with lots of intensity and crazy spots.

Thoughts: I think mysterio probably wins this one with evan bourne or mvp in a close second. mysterio can no doubt work and once again proved it at no way out against edge. After just signing a mult-year extention, I think a mysterio title run isn't far off but don't count out bourne or mvp because they are very over right now.

Right now, those are the only matches that I feel comfortable in saying that they will happen. However also look for these possibilities...

-Chris Jericho vs. Mickey Rourke (with Rick Flair, maybe as special guest ref.)
-Miz and Morrison (world tag team champs) vs. Primo and Carlito (wwe tag team champs)
-Jack Swagger (ecw champ) vs. Christian
-some sort of divas battle royal
-Beth Phoenix vs. Trish Stratus
-there has been some talk that austin will wrestle but i doubt it. He's too banged up.

That is all for now but feel free to chat and comment. I love feedback.

Christian Finally Returns to WWE...But in ECW?!?

Well the rumors were true, Christian is back in WWE, but the much talked about story where Christian would be Jeff Hardy's attacker, leading to a huge Wrestlemania match between the 2, totally went out the window, first as it played out that Matt Hardy was the man behind the attacks on Jeff, so apparently we're looking at a Hardy vs. Hardy match at Wrestlemania. So with that said, it looked like Christian would probably pop back up helping Edge somewhere, or maybe still involved in the Hardy feud somehow. Then tonight, on the usual Tuesday night ECW slot that only a portion of WWE fans watch, Christian interrupted Jack Swagger, says he's back for the ECW belt, and has his first match back, beating Swagger in a non title match. Really? Christian got a big pop, was over instantly with WWE fans again, which leaves everyone asking, why no hype? And why on WWE's "C" show? Somehow Christian went from coming back and being put right in a major story leading into mania, to just coming out and having a match out of the blue against Swagger. Is this WWE's way of saying "Welcome back Christian, but let us remind you that you still owe us for leaving"? Christian is a veteran talent, who's been in the big time matches, and could jump right into the mix and improve the shows, so it's pretty odd that most people are going to have to read about his return on the net, since ECW is the least watched brand. Christian should at LEAST be the ECW champion if that's the brand he's stuck on, but hopefully the reaction he got will show the higher ups that he belongs on Smackdown or RAW, and his return won't turn out to be a total waste, and hopefully WWE will wise up before Wrestlemania so Christian can get a descent spot, as I can see him at least being a guy that would have a good reason to be in the Money in the Bank ladder match given his history.

Chris Jericho Hit a Fan, and It Was Good

Chris Jericho lit a media fire over the weekend, over an incident that happened after a show in British Columbia over the weekend. Apparently, Jericho was trying to leave, and there was a crowd of fans watching, as is the norm at many arenas around the world, only this time, the fans got a little out of control, deciding to try and get tough with Jericho by talking too much shit, and hitting his car etc. Jericho was blocked at a stop sign, and when he got out to set things straight, some crazy bitch decided to push him and act all crazy, so Jericho knocked her ass out, haha. Yeah, think Shawn Michaels wife getting punched in the face times 5. Now Jericho was definitely provoked, so hopefully the right people will be in trouble here, but wow, when was the last time something like THIS happened? By today's standards in the wrestling world, I would have said that Chris Jericho would've gotten out of the car, and said "Hey guys, don't be mean, I'm just a bad guy for show, and all i want to do is entertain you, it's all an act." But thankfully, Chris Jericho took it old school, and showed crazy fans like these, that wrestlers are not to be F'd with, and if you try, you will have your ass handed to you, no matter if you're in a mob or not, wrestlers can handle their business believe it or not, and many wrestlers have been called more tough than athletes in other sports. I think one comment heard in the video sums it up best, a female says "I didn't know he was an ass in real life!"...and that best sums it up. In the good old days of wrestling, you KNEW guys were tough, you KNEW who was a prick, there was no question. Did anyone think Abdullah the Butcher or Bruiser Brody were acting and really just plain old guys? Uh, no, you would fear the thought of approaching them, thinking you'd get mauled and end up a bloody mess. Did anyone think Ric Flair was lying about his Rolex watches, and cars, and limos? Nope, you knew Flair was the real deal. Nowadays, there isn't a whole lot to believe in with wrestling, but thanks to Chris Jericho, there will be a few people out there who boo him because they truly he's an asshole, and the best emotion in wrestling is real emotion, and incidents like this bring the real emotion, and even a little bit of respect back to the business, so we say thank you Mr. Jericho, for showing the moron fans who take it too far, just how REAL the business can be. Apparently the jackass girl and her man were arrested, but released, and no charges have been filed yet, sadly they haven't got what they deserve....yet.

So Just What Will the Wrestlemania 25 Card Be???

The road to Wrestlemania is in full swing, and for the first time in years, we really don't know any of the card at all, good job WWE. Part of the reason this year has been more exciting than previous, is that WWE hasn't been clear at all about what matches we'd see in the lineup. In past years, as soon as the Royal Rumble was over, it was pretty clear what the Mania matches would be. Sure there are rumors and rumblings about what might be, but almost every match has various twists and changes possible, so I've decided to take a look at a few rumored or at least possible matches.

Edge vs. Triple H - This appears to be the only match that is just about a lock. H has been feuding with Vickie Guerrero for awhile now, so it's logical for Triple H to either win the Elimination Chamber and go in as WWE champ, or else somehow win his way into the Mania main event.

JBL vs. Shawn Michaels - This match would be a logical step in the great feud that HBK and JBL have pulled off over the past few months. Maybe throw in some stipulations in this one and it could be a Wrestlemania quality match, based off the pure emotion of this story and great delivery.

Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker - This was possibly hinted at when the Undertaker confronted Shawn Michaels at the Royal Rumble, and would be an awesome match with Undertaker Wrestlemania streak on the line once again, with both stars being from Texas, and both being capable of pulling off the match of the night, if HBK isn't up against JBL, then a match with Taker on the big stage would no doubt be awesome for the 25th anniversary of Mania.

Randy Orton vs. John Cena - Well this match would seem to make sense, only because John Cena is the World Champion, and Orton is the hottest star in WWE right now, getting face pops and being the featured star on RAW every week. I'm all for Orton with the title, he is no doubt delivering the best performances in WWE, but a match with Cena? Personally I'm not too excited about this one. If it happens, I'd like to see Orton win, and be done with it, no real intrigue here.

Randy Orton vs. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin - Now THIS match, yes, this is the one Randy Orton should be having at Mania, and yes this match has been mentioned. Now Jim Ross will say Austin will never wrestle again, but hopefully that's just him helping the excitement along here. Austin will be inducted into the Hall of Fame the night before Wrestlemania 25, so he'll be in Houston, and how awesome would it be to see the Texas Rattlesnake wrestle his last match at the 25th anniversary, against WWE's hottest star? This is a match at Mania that the fans would be on their feet for, and would bring the "Mania feel" to the show, and would be the perfect fit to the current storyline with Orton feuding with the McMahons, as the McMahons could bring in the 1 guy they know will destroy Orton.

John Cena vs. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin - Once again, another Mania moment would be made if this match happened. John Cena, the nice guy who fits into this era of WWE's "TV-PG" approach, vs. the king of the attitude era, with middle fingers and beer drinking. This is the one Cena match I would actually enjoy watching. For this match to happen, I think Cena would have to lose the world title at No Way Out, and I just don't think that will happen, so this match probably won't be happening, and prob has the least chance of all these possibilities.

Chris Jericho vs. Mickey Rourke - When the news first spread that Rourke would be at Mania, rumors flew, and continue flying, as to what role Rourke will have in the show. At first it was believed that it would indeed be a match, but lately the word has been spread that Rourke won't be wrestling, but again, this could just be seeds planted to continue the story. This match would be a very cool attraction for Wrestlemania, and would bring mainstream coverage in major way. If the match doesn't happen, there is still a good amount of media that will cover it, and hopefully Rourke will still be used in a meaningful way.

Chris Jericho vs. Ric Flair - This match makes the list due only to the fact that Flair's name has been brought up in the Jericho vs. Rourke story, so if Rourke has backed out, there is a small chance that Flair could come out of retirement for 1 night only, with Mickey Rourke in his corner to take on Jericho.

Well so far these are the possible matches that could make the lineup, but everything could definitely change with the way WWE is going. If a few of these matches make it, then add the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, and some sort legends match rumored to promote the new Legends of Wrestlemania video game, this card could be the best Wrestlemania in the past 5 years, but hopefully WWE doesn't get any grand ideas about changing the whole lineup, and giving us the same boring, predictable matches that Manias in the past few years have delivered for the most part. Coverage continues here on Pro Wrestling Roundup, as we get closer to Mania each week, and learn more and more about the year's biggest wrestling card.
