The TNA Knockouts are the TNA Ratings Champions!

This news broke a little while back, and I've really had to sit down and observe what has become TNA's biggest drawing attraction, the TNA Knockouts. Now when I think of divas, knockouts, female on a wrestling show, whatever, the WWE had set a standard that the women were just there to give us something to look at in between the matches. Later on, some divas like Trish Stratus, Lita, Molly Holly, and others brought a more serious wrestling aspect back to the diva segments on WWE programming. Now WWE seems to be looking for cookie cutter female that can at least go through the motions of a match, and it's making their divas seem very boring. Well TNA has taken things a different route, and has produced a group of females that have been on some of the most entertaining matches and stories on the entire TNA Impact show, and the ratings are starting to show that the Knockouts currently bring in the highest ratings on the show!

After viewing the Knockouts for awhile now, I think they keys here are not only using girls that are GOOD and can actually wrestle, but they also have a diverse group of girls that are far from cookie cutter. I think when the monstrous Awesome Kong debuted months ago in TNA, fans could tell the Knockout division was in for a shakeup. Kong is the current TNA Knockouts champion, and is probably the most dominant female wrestler that's been seen in the past 8 years at least. Gail Kim was her main nemesis for a series of classic matches that literally still steal the show every time they happen. Gail is a former WWE Diva, who was good in the ring in WWE, yet released, for unknown reasons. The group also includes the larger than life ODB, who might be one of the all time most outrageous female wrestlers, Christy Hemme, another former WWE Diva that was always full of energy, now in a rocker chick role as manager of the Rock N Rave Infection, Roxxi Laveaux, a knockout with a voodoo gimmick, who recently had her head shaved on PPV, and a tandem known as "The Beautiful People," who have exploded on to the seen as 2 of the top heels in TNA. Angelina Love and Velvet Sky are play the role of quite frankly, 2 blonde bitches, who think they're hotter than everyone else, and the gimmick has delivered the big ratings for TNA.

2 hot blondes who know it, talking much trash weekly, a 300 pound champion, a wild drunk female, a rocker chick, a hot Latina gangster girl, and many more, all in 1 episode of TNA Impact. Basically they have such a hugely diverse group, I'm reminded of back in my day, when i was highly entertained by a group of girls who had their own promotion, simply known as the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling! If you don't know what GLOW is, Youtube it, it will be worth the throwback. If you do know GLOW, TNA is a beefed up version with better wrestling, more realistic storylines, and hotter women. A few months back, I read TNA was thinking about giving the Knockouts their own 1 hour show, and now months later, I do not disagree. I actually DO enjoy it more than the regular stuff on TNA.

I don't know if it's sad that women's wrestling is for the first time more entertaining than men's, or if it's good that we're finally getting an awesome assortment of female wrestling talent that can get the job done. Word has it WWE is already interested in signing some TNA Knockouts, but unfortunately they would probably try to conform them to their stale style, and would not be able to do what TNA is doing right now. If TNA doesn't interest you, I"d recommend at least checking out the Knockouts segments. Awesome Kong is hugely entertaining in destroying people, and the Beautiful People are heat seekers big time. And don't worry, there is PLENTY of eye candy to go around, just take a look at this assortment of pics in this post and you'll see that TNA didn't leave out the hot factor in their TNA Knockout selection.

WWE RAW is Good Again....Until the Main Event.

So I've sat back and observed RAW the past few weeks, and I've seen a much more enjoyable show since Wrestlemania 24. Things were getting terribly boring for awhile, and predictable as well. Now I'm not saying there aren't still things that suck, such as WWE constantly having the main event made by an in ring promo, just like tonight's was, where Regal talked about Orton and JBL wanting rematches with Cena and HHH. Regal says they want rematches at the pay per view, then says "But tonight, there will be a tag match..." STOP right there, at THAT very point, we know that the tag match will be Orton and JBL vs. HHH and Cena, but as we do EVERY week, we have to sit through "It will be, JBL and Orton......" (Again, we must pause, and pretend we don't know who the opponents will be,) "Taking on John Cena..........(who could the partner be???)........and TRIPLE HAITCH (Regal's spelling of his name)"......this process occurs week after week it seems, and DAMN is it old and tired. Same old guys, same old main events, but wow, the WWE midcard and even lowercard angles and matches have been great lately! Chris Jericho pulled a great match out of Batista on Monday, and Jericho had a great match with HBK at Judgement Day, hmm, seems maybe Jericho should be main eventing! Jeff Hardy has exploded back on the scene, picking right up where he left off, getting huge pops from the crowd, and he's possibly the most over guy in the company. Is he main eventing? Nope. How about Mr. Kennedy, his new role as a bad ass face has been really good, and he's getting great reactions, and his match with Regal was really good, and popped the crowd for the finish. Even the stuff with Cade and Murdoch is fresh, any involvement with Roddy Piper is great, and his stuff with Santino is no different, its a nice little extra story on the side that is more character based. The divas are doing their part, as the heel on heel Beth Phoenix vs. Melina feud is new and interesting, and both are good in the ring, so no complaints in the diva area on RAW. So really it seems that new talent is shining lately, and the main even scene is just stale. We've seen Triple H as champ before, seen his entrance 12 million times. Cena has been used much less lately, which is very good, after he was crammed down our throat for a few years. Even mainstays like Shawn Michaels, have been able to get involved in a good fresh feud with Batista and Jericho. For some reason, it's the main event/WWE Title picture that can't heat up right now. Because of the great talent under the main event, I'll keep watching and enjoying RAW....Smackdown, still very boring in my opinion, and ECW is so pathetic, its not even worth watching. I think my next post will be a look at TNA, and what is good and what is bad there, similar to this post, but shockingly, in my opinion, the best thing in TNA right now......are the TNA Knockouts! More to come.....

So is Ashley Massaro a High Priced Hooker or Not? Do You Really Care?

It's been awhile since I've had time to write, or more like, had motivation to write about wrestling, since wrestling is in a period of nothing much going on, besides a few bright spots here and there on RAW once in awhile. But I've been notified by the owners of the site, that it seems a ton of you really want more women of wrestling content, whether it be WWE Diva's or TNA Knockouts, posts about them are what you guys are interested right now, while the rest of the wrestling scene is slow. So I'm going to be delivering what you readers want, which will be a lot of Diva and Knockout material, and I figured I'd start with the controversial story making the rounds the past week, which is WWE Diva Ashley Massaro supposedly being linked to some hugely priced escort service. As the story goes, you could pay $25,000 bucks for a night with Ashley, to uh, hang out, or something. This story was broke by a reliable source with Rolling Stone, which gave the story some credibility from the get go, but Ashley immediately said it wasn't her, etc. Since then, there has been stories that this was all a big mix up, and there was some other girl with the name Ashley Massaro who was involved, and she also just happened to be from New York, hmm. Well, the Rolling Stone source isn't retracting anything, and seems to be pretty sure, and Ashley isn't exactly coming forth with anything to prove this isn't her, so who knows at this point. Fact is, I'm guessing hardly any of you care. Are you going to stop looking at half naked (or fully naked if you are a Playboy subscriber) pics of Ashley, simply because she was a high priced escort? Doubtful. Curiosity is pretty much all this is about. If she was an escort, OK, whatever. If she wasn't, OK fine. Either way, this shouldn't be anything that drastically changes anything, unless of course those of you with 25 grand sitting around, who will be utterly disappointed that you didn't know about this sooner, so you can make a Ashley. Basically, this post was just a good excuse to kick off our women of wrestling posts, and a good reason to get some Ashley Massaro pics up, which by the way, feature some hookerish outfits, so you can judge for yourself, if these are the images of a high priced escort (Or you can just enjoy her scantily clad pics.)
